Showcase Presents 2: The Brave and the Bold Batman Team-ups. Bob Haney. out of 5 stars Paperback. 12 offers from $ Showcase Presents: The Brave and the Bold - /5(12). I am thrilled with the DC Showcase Presents series of black and white reprints of long runs of old comic books. (I hope they keep them in print!) In this volume are some old favorite long-running newsstand team-up comics, featuring the evolving Batman of the mid-to-late s and the scripting of the late, great Bob Haney/5. This book collects Issues of Brave and the Bold Batman Team-Ups. All but one are by Bob Haney. Rather than detail each team up, I'll offer some highlights both good and not so good. The good: Jim Aparo takes over the art. While the art in the book was always solid, Jim Aparo took it to a new level as he did the art for nine of the final eleven stories and began an epic run on this title with legendary art/5.

It takes me forever to read through Showcase Brave and the Bold vol 1, 2, and 3. Each panel is a masterpiece of artwork and inking. Aparo's Batman is lithe, elegant and some of the panel's POV are unbelievable. Story Continues From: Showcase Presents The Brave and The Bold Batman Team-Ups Vol. 1.
